Welcome to the Pugwash Village Commission
The Pugwash Village Commission is here to serve you! As the local government for the Village of Pugwash, Nova Scotia, we’re dedicated to making our community a great place to live, work, and visit.
What Does the Village Commission Do?
Our team of five elected commissioners works together to:
- Maintain and improve community spaces like parks, sidewalks, and recreation areas
- Organize and support local events and festivals
- Manage essential services such as the village water supply
- Set the village tax rate and budget for services that benefit everyone
- Support local organizations through funding and partnerships
How We Work
- Monthly Meetings: We meet on the second Monday of every month at 6:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend and share ideas!
- Village Staff: Our friendly Village Clerk-Treasurer and staff help keep everything running smoothly, from daily operations to community projects.
